More detailed photos of Oceanus

We have a lot of interest in Oceanus from potential buyers. To help them decide if she is the boat for them I want to share more photos and information about her on this blog.

Here they are in no particular order:

The view from the owner's stateroom aft.

VHF radio and electrical panels and controls are on the aft bulkhead in the main cabin. The remote mike for the radio is stored in one of the pockets ready to be plugged in next to the helm.

The solid teak door to the head.

The large head features plenty of storage for towels, cleaning supplies, first-aid kit, toiletries and a custom African mahogany medicine cabinet.

The 1800-watt Xantrex Pro Inverter is fully integrated into the Blue Seas AC panel.

The 10-foot cockpit of the Columbia 43 is amazingly comfortable at sea or at anchor. After more than 10,000 open-ocean miles of cruising we never got water aboard from a wave, only rain. The seats are plenty long for me to sleep on and I'm 6'3".

The large galley has plenty of stowage, a 3-burner Dickenson Mediterranean stove/oven, separate freezer and refrigerator, and hot and cold pressure water.

This storage unit worked perfectly even in a heavy seaway.

Kitchen sink, knife stowage and hanging stowage works great even at sea! (Note eye-straps to secure hanging gear while at sea. And safety belt for the cook.)

Good grab bars and a gimbled stove for at sea.

The table and most of the interior trim is solid African mahogany beautifully varnished.

Our Hydrovane wind-powered steering worked perfectly over 10,000 open-ocean miles.

We installed this three-blade folding prop 4 years ago, it was about 3 boat bucks.
